One of our most active BrumBats members is only 10 years old! Emily just LOVES bats, and she’s often found giving talks to other children her age, in schools and community groups, passing on her passion for our furry flying friends. Enthusiasm like that doesn’t go un-noticed, and the BBC have included Emily in the recent CBBC Wild programme where she talks about how she helps her dad doing bat care. You can watch the video here. You’ll even get to see the release of pipistrelle ‘Woody’ and watch him rejoin his fellow bats in the wild!
If you’d like to know about ways for your whole family to get involved with the bat group, and bat conservation, why not come along to an event and talk to one of our members? This is the perfect time to get involved, as the end of summer is usually packed full of bat walks! Check out our calendar for details. Your whole family can become BrumBats members for only £8 a year! Membership comes with the opportunity to attend free events, training workshops and talks, as well as a regular email update and our newsletter: The Signal. Why not check out our membership page?
Hope to see your family at an event soon!
